Gym Ledger allows you to permanently delete your account directly from the app. This page explains the steps to delete your account and exactly what is removed. Deletion permanently removes your account and Gym Ledger-owned data; only a short-lived security tombstone remains temporarily to block stale sign-in tokens.
When you delete your account, your Gym Ledger account content is permanently removed from your device, our Firebase server data, Firebase Storage, and Firebase Authentication, subject to the specific exceptions listed below. Gym, member, payment, media, bug-report, and orphaned account content owned by the deleting account is not recoverable. A minimal temporary deletion tombstone is retained briefly to block stale sessions, then removed by scheduled cleanup. Members who have their own Gym Ledger account keep their personal receipt and membership history for the payments they made to your gym. Those records sit in the member's own account and are not deleted with yours. If your gym uses fingerprint check-in, the fingerprint IDs, enrolment records, and fingerprint device records held by Gym Ledger are deleted too, but the fingerprints stored on the device itself are not, because that device is your own hardware.
Submitted anonymous feedback photos are different. If you are a member and previously submitted a photo with anonymous feedback, deleting your member account removes your member-keyed rate-limit record and any stranded pre-submission upload, but not the submitted anonymous copy. That copy deliberately contains no member identifier, so linking it back for deletion would break the anonymity promise. It remains with the anonymous feedback until the recipient gym owner's account is deleted.
Using a fingerprint device? Clear it before you delete your account. Deleting your account also removes the connection Gym Ledger uses to reach your fingerprint devices, so no delete instruction can be sent to them afterwards. Remove the enrolled members from each device first, or remove their fingerprint IDs in the app before deleting your account.

Razorpay retains its own transaction records inside its systems as required by law and its own policies; that is outside Gym Ledger's control and is covered by the Razorpay Privacy Policy.
Gym Ledger does not retain your account, gym, member, payment, attendance, media, or bug-report content after deletion except for the specific member-held and anonymous-feedback records described on this page. A minimal UID-keyed deletion tombstone can remain briefly only to block already-issued Firebase ID tokens; scheduled cleanup removes it after the stale-token safety window. Members with their own Gym Ledger account retain their personal receipts and membership summary for their transactions with your gym. A submitted anonymous feedback record and photo remain after the submitting member deletes their account because they no longer contain a member identifier; the recipient gym owner's account deletion removes them. If you use fingerprint check-in, the fingerprint IDs, enrolment records, and device records held by Gym Ledger are deleted, and the fingerprints stored on your own device remain your responsibility to clear. If you re-register later, you start with a fresh, empty account.
Note: Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. You will lose all your gym data, and there is no recovery. Please export or save anything you need before deleting your account.
