Delete Your Account

GymLedger allows you to permanently delete your account directly from the app. This page explains the steps to delete your account, what data is immediately removed, and what data is retained.

How to Delete Your Account

  1. Open the GymLedger app on your device.
  2. Tap the Settings icon (gear icon) in the top-right corner of the Dashboard.
  3. Scroll down to the bottom of the Settings page.
  4. Tap "Delete Account".
  5. A confirmation dialog will appear. Tap "Delete" to confirm.
  6. Your account will be permanently deleted and you will be signed out.

Data That Is Immediately Deleted

When you delete your account, the following data is immediately and permanently removed:

Data That Is Retained

After account deletion, the following data is retained on our servers in a de-identified, orphaned state for analytics and service improvement purposes:

Once your account is deleted, Firebase assigns a new unique identifier if you re-register with the same email. This means your old data becomes permanently orphaned — it cannot be accessed, recovered, or linked back to your new account. You will start fresh with a clean slate.

Retention Period

Account deletion is immediate. Your login credentials and local device data are removed instantly. Server-side data (gym profile, members, payments, attendance) is retained indefinitely in an orphaned state for analytics purposes and cannot be accessed by any user after account deletion.

Note: Account deletion is irreversible. You will lose access to all your gym data permanently. If you re-register, you will start with a completely fresh account. Please ensure you have saved any information you need before deleting your account.

Request Full Data Deletion

If you would like your server-side data (gym profile, member records, payments, attendance) to be permanently deleted from our servers as well, please email us at dev.gymledger@gmail.com with the subject line "Full Data Deletion Request". Include the email address associated with your GymLedger account. We will permanently remove all your data from our servers within 30 days.

Alternative: Request Deletion via Email

If you are unable to access the app, you can request account deletion by emailing us at dev.gymledger@gmail.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request". Please include the email address associated with your GymLedger account. We will process your request within 7 business days.
